This facility is open to the public seven days a week for your enjoyment
and can be contacted by calling 970.565.7877. Ours is an outdoor
pool and is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day only.
The highlight of this complex (to individuals who meet the height
requirement) is the 125-foot double loop water slide. Small children can
also have a blast in our regulated depth baby pool. Locker rooms are
equipped with showers and locker rental. Sorry, no long term rentals are
available. Outside food or coolers are not allowed, as concessions are sold on
site.
Many activities are offered for children and adults
alike. We are proud to offer the American Red Cross Learn to Swim
Program to people who would like to learn or to refine their swimming
skills.

The pool is
available for rental beginning on June 14th. Fridays from 8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m., Saturdays and

Swimming Lessons
The Cortez Municipal Aquatics Complex participates in the
American Red Cross
Learn to Swim Program. Children who have reached five years of age by
the time of the session, and older are invited to register for classes. Adult and
Tot classes are available for children who don't meet these requirements.
The cost is $25 for each two-week session, and classes are held Monday thru
Friday.
Registration is on a first come, first serve basis, and begins at 7:30 a.m.
at the Outdoor Pool. (Depending on interest) Session 4 begins July 31st
and ends August 11th. Registration will be held on July 27th.
For more information on swim lessons, contact the Cortez
Municipal Aquatics Complex.
See Water Safety Tips from the American Red Cross.
Adult Lap Swim
Lap swim is open to the adult public, and pool guidelines for swimming laps
must be followed. Lanes are not provided during open swim times.
Lap time is from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday - Sunday.
Aqua Motion
Aqua motion includes rhythmic movements in chest deep water to fast paced,
lively music. It is a low impact, but highly aerobic workout.
Classes are held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 5:30 -
6:30 p.m., beginning mid-June, and are instructed by Joan Harclerode.
While at the Outdoor Pool, fees for
classes are $3 without a pool pass or $2 with a pool pass and no
pre-registration is required. Starting in September the class moves to
The Recreation Center where the fees are,
$3 for members or $4 for non-members along with the entry fee.
