The Cortez Public Library, located at 202 N. Park, currently has over 75,000 books, videos and audio books for patrons to check out, and the collection is constantly growing! Books and audios check out for three weeks. Videos and DVDs check out for one week. Patrons can check out up to 20 items at any given time.

If we don't have the book you want, we can usually get it for you from another library through Interlibrary Loan. Depending on availability, it takes an average of two weeks to get a book for you to borrow. To take advantage of this service, contact the Library at 565-8117.
Free Internet access is provided at the Cortez Public Library. Twenty-five computers are available to patrons on a first come, first serve basis. Stop by the Library and check out this wonderful service!
Need to do some serious research? The library has subscriptions to databases that contain magazine articles, photographs, newspaper articles, audio and video files. If you have a library card, our staff can tell you the secret passwords to get into these fabulous resources. Contact the library, 565-8117.
