Welcome to the City of Cortez Building Division. We want your project to be as successful as possible and help avoid potential problems that could cost you time and money.
The City's Building Official is certified through the International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO). This voluntary certification Program of ICBO benefits the community, as the application of this knowledge leads to safer buildings.
The City has adopted and is enforcing the following Codes:

The following permit application forms are used by the Building Division for review of any projects proposed to be done within the City limits. Hopefully, they will help you plan your project. These forms are provided for your convenience; however, each permit will require the review and approval of the Building Official PRIOR TO THE START OF ANY CONSTRUCTION.
