The Court assists in the operation of the judicial system of Cortez by processing moving and parking traffic violations and misdemeanor charges which occur in the city limits.
Jim Shaner is the municipal judge. Court is in session once a week:
Arraignments: 9:00 A.M. on Mondays
Court trials are scheduled as needed.
Court offices are located in City Hall.
