Lifeguards. The City of Cortez is accepting applications for (4) Four Lifeguards at the Recreation Center in the Parks and Recreation Department. Some of the responsibilities of the position are: enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules and regulations; recognize and respond to emergencies; and inspect facility on a daily schedule and report unsafe conditions to supervisor. Applicants must be a certified lifeguard or be able to obtain certification. Beginning salary is $7.28 per hour.
