The office of Grants and Special Projects is a division of the City Manager’s Department. This office works with all City Departments in the administration and seeking of grants and with the development of special projects. It also acts as a liaison with other partner community non-profits in the search for grants.

2009 - The 2009 Insulate Colorado rebate program for Citizens to insulate their homes has been re-approved. For more information follow this link:Insulate Colorado

- Cornett Heights Street Development – $1.2 million; CDBG, City
- Housing Needs Assessment – $75,000; CDOH, City, County, Mancos, Dolores
- Playground replacement – $108,790 total; $45,256 funded GOCO, $20,000 funded
- LiveWell Colorado, $43,534 funded by City
- Insulate and Seal – $40,000 total; $20,000 funded GEO, $10,000 each Empire Electric and City
- Micro-Hydroelectric Plant – $1,989,898 total; DOLA/GEO $500,000 funded, $1,200,000 funded Colorado Water & Power pending, $289,898 funded City
- Dump Station City Park Moved to Service Center – Completed May 2009
- Land/Water Conservation Fund Grant Compliance – June 2009, State Parks, P&R
- Montezuma Ave. Pruning Project – $34,800 funded; January 2009
- Unlimited Learning Center CDBG Grant Coordination – in progress
