The City of Cortez has recently joined the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System:

  • All Vendors must register on the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing Web site.
  • Receive email notifications of bids, and requests for proposal for a small annual fee, or check the web site for free.

These changes will keep you well informed, and make the process of doing business with the City of Cortez easier than ever before!

To have your company added to the Rocky Mountain System please proceed to Vendor Registration and follow the on line directions. Once you are registered with Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing system not only are you able to bid on the City of Cortez items you are also eligible to provide items to other agencies.

From time to time the City of Cortez solicits bids and/or requests for proposals for the purpose of contracting for goods and services. In some cases, it may be necessary to meet certain criteria specific to the project. Please review individual bid documents thoroughly before submitting a bid or proposal.

The General Services Department Administration Division handles large bids for City goods and services, oversees various contracts for purchasing, developing specifications, and negotiations.  They can be reached by calling 970.564.4050.

The Public Works Department oversees bids and contracts for City projects involving waterlines, streets, concrete, storm drains, and other construction projects.  The Public Works Department is located in the City Service Center at 110 West Progress Circle and can be reached by calling 970.565.7320.

INVITATION TO BID

Sealed proposals for furnishing the following to the City of Cortez, Colorado will be received at the Office of the General Services Director, Cortez Service Center, 110 West Progress Circle, Cortez, Colorado, 81321, until 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 26, 2010, at which time proposals will be publicly opened and read.

BID ITEM I: One (1) Utility Vehicle “Electric Powered” for the

Conquistador Golf Course. See Attached Specifications.

Bid Price F.O.B. Cortez.  Specify Delivery.  Submit Descriptive Literature.

Proposals shall be submitted in writing and signed by the bidder or his duly authorized agent. Proposals shall be submitted in sealed envelopes, and marked on the outside with “PROPOSAL: UTILITY VEHICLES”, and with the bidder’s name.

The City reserves the right to waive any formality or any informality in the process of awarding a bid. The City of Cortez reserves the right to accept any bid, in whole or in part, and to reject any or all bids if it be deemed in the best interest of the City to do so.

Sealed bids for furnishing the following to the City of Cortez, Colorado, will be received at the office of the Public Works Director, City Service Center, 110 West Progress Circle, Cortez, CO 81321, until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2010, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read. Bids received after this time will not be accepted.

The project will consist of the construction of a drinking water treatment facility. The project will include improvements to the drinking water treatment facility.

 

Bids shall be submitted in writing on the documents provided and signed by the bidder or his duly-authorized agent. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes and marked on the outside with “BID – 2010 WATER TREATMENT PLANT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT” and with the bidder’s name.

INVITATION TO BID

 Sealed bids for furnishing the following to the City of Cortez, Colorado, will be received at the office of the Public Works Director, City Service Center, 110 West Progress Circle, Cortez, CO 81321, until 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 1, 2010, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read. Bids received after this time will not be accepted.

The project to be completed encompasses construction services for utility infrastructure and site-work necessary for a new maintenance shop. The scope of work includes excavation, backfilling, and compaction of existing soils, required utility extensions and modifications, finished grading, and installation of site improvements. All work is located within the City of Cortez.

Bid Documents, including drawings and specifications, may be examined in the Public Works Department at the City Service Center. A non-refundable fee of $25 will be charged for the Bid Documents, which can be obtained from the Public Works Department.

Bids shall be submitted in writing on the documents provided and signed by the bidder or his duly-authorized agent. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes and marked on the outside with “BID – CORTEZ GOLF MAINTENANCE SHOP – SITE-WORK” and with the bidder’s name.

There will be a Mandatory Pre-Bid Walkthrough on Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. A brief project meeting will be held prior to the walkthrough at the Cortez City Service Center located at 110 West Progress Circle, Cortez, CO. Interested bidders should be at the City Service Center no later than 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2010.
