The Finance Department handles the routine billing for City services and the Cortez Sanitation District sewer billing. The Finance office also collects and invests City revenues, makes payment of all expenditures and payroll of the City, and is responsible for the general accounting

Any person wishing to sell merchandise within the City limits is first required
to obtain a sales tax license from the City of Cortez Finance Department. Our current

trash pick-up and recycling pickup
to Cortez residents. To set up a new account, make changes to an existing account,
