Facilities

Veteran's Park, the oldest of Cortez's parks, is located from Main to Montezuma Streets and from Park Street to Mildred Avenue.  Large, mature trees in the park offer ample shade for a relaxing picnic, while a playground is available for youth to enjoy.  Originally City Park, it was dedicated as Veterans Park in 2020 and has a stage available for performances and two picnic shelters available for public gatherings.  On the north end of the park, a sand volleyball court, horseshoe pit and the municipal outdoor pool are available for family fun and outdoor recreation.
