No.  Contact the Montezuma County Landfill at 970.565.9858 for information on e-waste.

3. Does the city of Cortez compost?

No.   Residents are encouraged to do their own backyard composting

4. Does the City have a recycling program? If so, what can I recycle?

5. Why does the recyclables accepted change from time to time?

The City’s recycling changes reflect the overall recycling market; our changes are made with an attempt to control otherwise runaway cost.

6. What can I do to help keep cost low?

Everyone can help a little by reading about new changes, making sure to properly recycle and separate material.

7. What if I don't have enough room to separate all the recycling materials?

Start small: audit your household and recycle the one thing you produce the most of, then as you feel comfortable, add another commodity to your recycling bin.  Each household can have up to two City recycling bins.
