Safe Water

The City of Cortez recommends that you flush all of your building plumbing thoroughly after a prolonged building shutdown.

Bringing in fresh chlorinated water will help prevent bacteria growth that can occur when water becomes stagnant from sitting in the plumbing lines for an extended period of time.  Flushing the cooling towers is especially important.

Give us a call at the Water Treatment Plant if you would like to have the chlorine residual in your facility tested.

Please refer to the enclosed flyer on Legionnaires’ Disease Prevention for additional information.  Don’t hesitate to call if you need help.
