Notice of Intent- Cortez Municipal Airport

Cortez Municipal Airport (CEZ) is required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to contact air carriers that serve CEZ to notify the intent to file for collection of future Passenger Facility Charge (PFC), a $4.50 ticket charge, that is collected by the airline at the time of ticket sale, and returned to the airport for capital improvements over time.  CEZ collects this fee in arrears for projects already completed, making the funds available for future project expenses.  We must hold a meeting with 30 days advance notice to allow air carriers to voice their comments of approval or disapproval of the projects or collection of the fee.  CEZ will hold this meeting for Boutique (BTQ), our only air carrier, on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at the CEZ airport maintenance facility at 1:00 PM MDT.  BTQ then has an additional 30 days, following the meeting, to express its approval/disapproval before the application is submitted to FAA for their review.
