10th Annual Historic Preservation Day, May 18th

Cortez Historic Preservation Day, Saturday May 18th

Sidewalk tours of historic buildings and murals in downtown Cortez will be the feature of Cortez Historic Preservation Day on Saturday May 18, 201. This is the Tenth Annual Cortez Historic Preservation Day sponsored by the Cortez Historic Preservation Board in cooperation with the Cortez Cultural Center, Montezuma County Historical Society, Cortez Arts Commission and CREA. The tours will include information on the iconic Cortez Stone Block Buildings, and murals in the downtown..

Tours will start at 10:30 AM, and 1 PM. Sign up and meet for the free tours at the Cortez Cultural Center at 25 North Market Street or call 970-565-1151.

At 3 PM there will be a presentation at the proposed Montezuma Heritage Museum by the Montezuma County Historical Society (please meet at the Cultural Center to begin tour).
