The City strives to ensure that revenues received are spent in a responsible manner. Through the City's budget process resources are allocated among different functions that reflect the goals of the City in meeting the needs of it's citizens. As stewards of the City's infrastructure, funds are allocated to protect the assets of it's citizens (roads, parks, city owned facilities, etc.) The budget also assures that current services such as clean water, refuse pickup, library, recreation, police protection, and other services vital for a healthy community are able to be maintained.
